Eligibility Requirements

What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Four (4) year degree, 7+ years of experience in technical sales or sales engineering roles or consultative roles, Technical focus on Security, Able to explain and differentiate between fundamental security concepts like zero trust, assumed compromise, incident response, ransomware, threat groups, EDR, MDR, ZTNA, and disaster recovery, Demonstrated sales acumen, with the ability to drive and close sales, Exemplary communication skills, especially with customers & sellers, Technologically savvy with MSFT Office and other Windows applications, Ability to travel up to 30%, All applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice to Have

Channel experience preferred, Salesforce experience is a bonus, Data center / infrastructure / computer experience is a bonus, Experience in Channel/VAR sales model-based organization, CISSP, CCNA, MCSE, CCDP, FCNSA/FCNSP other related certifications is a plus

Leading on-site meetings with clients

Providing consultative support for the internal development of competitive documentation across providers

Developing and delivering advanced product and services training for Trusted Advisors

Leading SilverSky webinars

Leading marketing events to train and communicate with Trusted Advisors

Leveraging industry thought leadership to continuously evaluate market and providers to enhance portfolios

Continuously expanding knowledge on new and emerging technologies related to SilverSky’s vendor portfolio offerings

and explaining industry-changing concepts to a broad audience

Helping identify new vendors that would build the portfolio

Quarterbacking a combined portfolio response during acute episodes of cyber-attack and ransomware

Taking a leadership role in cross-training and coaching other Sales Engineers

Championing standardized processes for the Sales Engineering team in order to improve the quality of work and increase scalability

Achieving and maintaining partner and industry certifications in a timely manner

Designing and building partner-facing sales enablement tools and training modules

Providing technical leadership and knowledge utilizing SilverSky’s service providers

Developing relationships with Trusted Advisors in the region

and after-work events

Proactively training and strategizing with key Trusted Advisors in the region

Becoming a spokesperson for SilverSky

Put simply, our mission is to stay ahead of the curve and create a safer digital landscape for our partners, and we think adding a Sales Engineer will up our cyber game. The Sales Engineer (SE) is an individual contributor role, responsible for providing technical, pre-sales support to the Sales teams. The SE is expected to stay current and knowledgeable on SilverSky’s offerings and industry technical certifications. They will train and educate the Sales teams, as well as trusted partners, and provide educated solutions recommendations to potential customers/clients. This role is expected to be 50% security technical specialist and 50% security generalist. What you’ll be doing.
