Must Have
At least 2 years of experience as a sales professional in a B2B financial services, fintech, or SaaS organization, with a track record of meeting or exceeding quotas in a fast-paced environment, Ability to quickly understand complex product features and explain how they create value for customers in simple, compelling language, Comfort with high-volume outbound outreach, particularly phone-based prospecting, and the resilience to handle rejection while maintaining energy and professionalism, Technologically savvy and can easily get up to speed on modern tech stacks (i.e., Google Suite, Slack, Salesforce, Zendesk, etc.)
Nice to Have
Prior experience at a fast-growing B2B startup, Experience selling into financial advisor, RIA, or wealth management audiences, FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses, academic or internship experience in finance or financial technology who can demonstrate clear sales aptitude and drive
What You'll Do.
Driving high-quality top-of-funnel activity
Generating qualified opportunities for the sales team through a mix of inbound qualification and targeted outbound prospecting
Qualifying inbound leads (e.g.
marketing-qualified leads) and efficiently routing them to the appropriate account owners with clear context and next-step recommendations
multi-channel outbound prospecting
with phone as the primary channel
supplemented by email and professional social platforms (e.g.
to generate new sales-qualified opportunities
Maintaining a consistent daily outreach cadence (e.g.
targeted calls and total touches per day) that aligns with team goals and supports a healthy
theme-based prospecting campaigns informed by market developments
and guidance from sales leadership
Using independent judgment to qualify prospects
determining when a lead is ready to enter the sales pipeline and be handed off to the appropriate sales owner
Leveraging consultative selling skills to build trust with advisors
and guide them through early stages of the buying journey
Quickly developing a deep understanding of the Altruist platform and core features in order to clearly articulate value and differentiation in first-touch conversations
Systematically capturing prospect and client feedback to help inform broader company priorities (e.g.
Using Salesforce to rigorously track activities
and to understand the impact of lead flow on territory funnel and results
Contributing to the sales team’s goal of creating predictable
scalable growth by meeting SLAs
maintaining accurate and complete records in Salesforce
and proactively identifying ways to improve team performance
Demonstrating coachability and a growth mindset
actively seeking and applying feedback from sales leadership to increase effectiveness and efficiency
