What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Completion of post secondary certificate up to 1 year in Office Administration or recognized equivalent, Six (6) months to 1 year experience using computer applications or health information system, Must be able to read and understand sort notes, brief forms and/or instructions, Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and/or divide
Nice to Have
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred, Experience working in a health care environment an asset, Knowledge of a second language an asset
What You'll Do.
Provide patient admitting/registration function
Receive and register patients/visitors
Provide patient administrative services
Organize and maintain patient charts
Maintain electronic and paper information filing systems
Provide reception responsibilities
screen and triage telephone calls
Perform unit administrative services
Ensure efficient operation of the unit
Schedule patients for tests
Schedule special procedures
Schedule urgentergency appointments
Follow established procedures
Ensure efficient flow of patient/patient appointments
Provide routine clerical support services
