Must Have

Bachelor's degree in science, Safety, or Industrial Hygiene (Years of experience and training may be considered in lieu of education), Experience and knowledge of regulations and interpretations associated with OSHA, DOT, NFPA, DHS, ATF, and ANSI, Ability to communicate well with all types of employees

Nice to Have

Knowledge of and experience in ammunition and explosives manufacturing and industrial hygiene, 2-5 years’ experience with and working knowledge of OSHA regulations, ASP, CSP, or CIH

What You'll Do.

Assist the Director of EHS in all areas of safety

Ensure compliance with TKG’s Energetic Operating Standards (EOS)

Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Standards 29 CFR 1910

Ensure compliance with Process Safety Management

Ensure compliance with Plant Process Control Board

Coordinate the site’s Industrial Hygiene Program

Develop training agendas

Provide support for Safety training

Assist with regulatory compliance requirements

Coordinate outside agency’s inspections

Follow-up to findings from inspections

Act as a resource to the Anoka Operation’s Safety efforts

Review and analyze new proposals for safety comments

Coordinate all activities of EOS Compliance

Coordinate Plant Process Control Board and EOS committee

Manage the 14 compliance steps of Process Safety Management

Manage related correspondence

and other EOS activities

Supervise outside agency’s compliance inspections

Issue inspection reports with abatement

Provide training for Plant Authority responsibilities

Provide training for Contractor Safety and Management

Provide Lift Truck Operator training

Provide New Hire Orientation

Support Safety training for the Federal Operation

Respond to emergencies

Act as incident command or assist in emergency operations

Perform Industrial Hygiene work including air sampling

Ensure Industrial Hygiene work complies with government regulations

Report results of sampling and testing

Issue personal protective equipment

Perform related training for PPE

Calibrate and maintain Industrial Hygiene and monitoring systems/equipment

Provide guidance to Federal Operation’s Supervisors

Conduct safety inspections

Assign and monitor abatement deadlines

Review new or revised OSHA and DOT regulations

Submit policy drafts or revisions

Develop outlines and teaching materials for training

Serve as training instructor

Perform accident investigations

Assure compliance with Vista Outdoors policies and government regulations

Review changes in Standard Operating Procedures

and Equipment Changes

# **Job Description** The Kinetic Group is a world leader in the design, manufacturing, and distribution of small caliber ammunition under the iconic brands B&P, CCI, Federal Premium, Fiocchi, HEVI-Shot, Remington and Speer. We have domestic ammunition manufacturing facilities in Minnesota, Idaho, Arkansas, and Missouri, and service law enforcement, government agencies and sporting enthusiasts throughout the world. Today, The Kinetic Group is a part of the Ammo+ division of The Czechoslovak Group (CSG), which holds a diverse portfolio of companies in the defense, security, automotive, aerospace and rail industries. As the Safety Engineer you will have the opportunity to assist the Director of EHS in all areas of safety including compliance with TKG’s Energetic Operating Standards (EOS), Occupational Safety and Health Standards 29 CFR 1910, Process Safety Management and Plant Process Control Board. Help coordinate the site’s Industrial Hygiene Program, develop training agendas and provides support for Safety training to the Anoka Operation. Assist with regulatory compliance requirements as directed. This position is responsible for the coordination of outside agency’s inspections including follow-up to findings and acts as a resource to the Anoka Operation’s Safety efforts. Reviews and analyzes new proposals that require comments from Safety Department. This position reports to the Director of Environmental, Health and Safety and is based out of our Anoka Location. **What you’ll do:** * Coordinate all activities of EOS Compliance which includes Plant Process Control Board and the EOS committee. Included in this section are the 14 compliance steps of Process Safety Management and all related correspondence, documentation, coordinating PHA meetings, and other activities related to EOS. * Supervise outside agency’s compliance inspections within the Federal Operations and issues inspection reports with abatement.
