What They're Looking For.
Must Have
High School Diploma or Equivalency, 3-5 years’ experience with turbines, compressors and / or other rotating equipment, Rigging capabilities, Measuring capabilities
Nice to Have
Experience with rotating components a plus (Rotor Mechanic)
What You'll Do.
Recommend and implement repairs for industrial and rotating equipment
Perform work in a safe and timely manner
Promote safety and quality at all times
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Read and comprehend drawings
and verbal instructions
Use appropriate equipment
specifications and documentation
Learn processes for repairs including altering and overhauling of rotors
disc and blade holders
and all other forms of equipment
Learn how to set up equipment needed to complete jobs
Learn to accurately measure and record all dimensional inspections
Understand inspection reports and work with customer witnesses
Understand and process documentation associated with turbo machinery
Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions
Accept ownership over work performance and stays abreast of job knowledge and new skill development
