Full Job Description

If you have a passion for making an impact on the future today, consider joining Robotics Delivery & Packaging Innovations (RDPI) Technology Deployment team within Amazon Robotics (AR) org. In RDPI, we have the unique role and privilege of deploying leading edge industrial robotics and customer fulfillment technologies across North America Stores operations. We raise the bar on the speed, quality and cost of deploying industrial technologies at scale across North America, functioning as the field team who plan, execute and launch the technologies that our internal design and product strategy partners in RDPI develop. Project durations vary from a few days to several months, with travel across North America. This is a travel-based role and you will be expected to travel to meet the requirements of your projects across North America, upwards of 75% or more. As a Systems Engineer I, you will work with a team of 1-5 engineers and collaborate with an on-site project manager to provide technical oversight on the installation of both third party and Amazon designed robotics equipment that may be in various phases of the product life cycle. These deployments require extensive collaboration with various stakeholders, including third-party installers, contracted engineers, construction, hardware, software, IT, and other partner teams. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with both internal and external partners and customers. As an Amazonian, you must demonstrate independent initiative to identify and solve problems in real time during deployments.
