We are now delivering routine maintenance, and defect rectification works, as well as refurbishment and upgrade projects, under a major long-term contract with the Victorian Government. You will be joining a hands-on Road Maintenance team, supervising the day-to-day onsite work of operations workers and sub-contractors to ensure work is delivered. _Tool of trade (vehicle) will be provided._ **Key Responsibilities:** * Leading nightly pre-start, supervising the nightly on-site work of operations and/or maintenance workers, afterhours emergency response, sub-contractors and apprentices. * Inspecting the daily work to ensure works are undertaken to documented procedures and in accordance with quality standards. * Supplying relevant quality assurance and operations documentation for management to support informed decision making. * Monitoring and controlling the use of materials and equipment to minimise unnecessary waste and authorise the procurement of supplies. * Carrying out regular site inspections to ensure all areas comply with relevant health and safety standards, taking immediate action as required to mitigate potential risks to staff. * Supporting team members through training and feedback, to encourage and develop internal capabilities. * Managing the afterhours call out roster to ensure the network as 24/7 coverage. **About You:** This opportunity will
