Registered Nurse, Bachelor of Nursing, current unrestricted AHPRA registration, 5 years’ clinical experience in primary care, triage, assessment, or case management
Nice to Have
primary health experience, community experience, urgent care settings experience, complex and chronic disease management experience, experience working in immigration detention or similar environments, electronic health records proficiency, telehealth platforms proficiency

Full Job Description
Healthcare Australia (HCA) is a major provider of healthcare services across Australia, including allied health, primary care, recruitment, NDIS, care services, and training. In December 2024, we began providing health, mental health, and wellbeing services across the onshore Immigration Detention network. Our team of nurses, general practitioners, and allied health professionals offer a range of healthcare services, including health assessments, chronic disease management, health promotion, wound management, immunizations, and other primary health interventions. HCA also launched a 24/7 Virtual Care Centre (VCC), offering remote healthcare through telehealth and video consultations to enhance onsite care for detainees As a Virtual Triage Nurse, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive clinical assessments via telehealth platforms, prioritising patient care based on clinical urgency, risk, and presenting needs. You will play a key role in coordinating appropriate care pathways, ensuring patients are directed to the right service at the right time. You will also provide patient education, support self-management strategies, and contribute to positive health outcomes through effective communication and clinical guidance.
