Must Have
Bachelor's Degree Nursing, 3 years of relevant nursing experience in an acute care setting, MI Registered Nurse (RN), AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days, BC-NPD-ANCC American Nurse Credentialing Center - Nursing Professional Development within 2 years
Nice to Have
Master's Degree Nursing Education or Adult Education, 5 years of education experience, Basic Life Support Instructor (BLS INSTR) - AHA
What You'll Do.
facilitates the professional role development and growth of nurses and other healthcare personnel
as part of the onboarding process
to ensure that new hire/transfer employees have the knowledge and skill to safely practice independently in their role
and evaluates orientation programs for nursing and other healthcare personnel
conducts and evaluates competency programs
collaborates with operational leaders to address deficits in employee’s knowledge and skills
designs and develops educational opportunities to achieve specific outcomes related to identified deficits or opportunities for improvement in knowledge
fosters interprofessional learning and enables effective collaboration to improve practice outcomes for the nurse and other health care personnel
functions as a mentor
and resource in the development of nursing and other clinical support roles as the employee transitions throughout their career life cycle
evidenced based practice and quality improvement principles in education
