**About the unit** This is Neuro Surgery focused Medical Surgical floor that was established in 3/2018. Our patients include the post-operative surgical patients related to Spine and Ortho Spine, C- Spine, Lumbar and Thoracic Spine surgeries, as well as patients staying for Extended recovery after general out-patient surgical procedures. The Medical patient population includes, Mental Status changes, Seizures, GI bleed, Pneumonia. Stroke, Polydrug Abuse, ETOH Abuse on CIWA pathways, Psychiatric patients, Palliative Care, hospice, Multiple Sclerosis, Isolation patients and patients with other infections and Complex family issues. The RN provides quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader according to Corewell Health policies and procedures and recognizes the impact of nursing care and patient/family partnerships on patient outcomes.
