Must Have
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate’s degree or from an ACEN accredited Diploma program, MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required, AHA, ARC, or Canadian Heart and Stroke Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire/transfer, 2 years of RN experience in either L &D, Mother Baby, NICU, or Peds is required
Nice to Have
B. S. N. , M. S. N. , DNP/PhD, Specialty Certification highly recommended within 2 years, Highly Prefer Labor and Delivery background
What You'll Do.
caring for neonates 28 weeks and up
participate in transporting infants from neighboring hospitals to Beaumont Dearborn's NICU
cares for postpartum patients and newborns
rotation within the maternal child health units with training
cares for patients from newborn to 18 years of age
care for low to moderate acute pediatric patients in a family centered care environment
utilizes the framework of the nursing process to provide professional nursing care
incorporating patient-family centered care principles to assess
provides quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader according to Corewell Health policies and procedures
recognizes the impact of nursing care and patient/family partnerships on patient outcomes
partners with and utilizes patient/family input and goals in planning plan of care
develops teaching strategies for patient/family
documents education and learning appropriately in health record
