Your job is more than a job. University Medical Center is seeking **experienced** nurses for our 11 Acute Care Units: **_Acute Care Specialties:_** 1\. Cardiology/Telemetry 2\. Controlled Access 3\. General Care 4\. General Medical 5\. Medicine 6\. Neurology Stroke 7\. Observation 8\. Oncology 9\. Surgery 10\. Trauma 11\. Transitional Recovery Unit **1\. Cardiology/Telemetry:** **_Comprehensive cardiac monitoring_** Specializes in the management of patients with arrhythmias, heart failure, myocardial infarction, post-cardiac procedures, and continuous telemetry. **_Advanced patient care population_** Serves adult medical-surgical patients with cardiac and vascular conditions. **_Expertise in cardiac vasoactive therapy_** Provides safe administration and close monitoring of non-titrating vasoactive cardiac drug therapies, ensuring optimal outcomes in a controlled acute care environment 2\. **Controlled Access:** The patient population includes those in custody or incarcerated: • No patient in cardiac drips • General medical surgical patients • Pre-op and post-op patients • Patient is shackled to the bed (1 leg) • Minimum of 1 guard per patient 24/7 • Always accompanied by 1 deputy for any patient interactions • Safe place to work; 24/7 available lieutenant on site, plus captain and major on day shift. 3\. **General Care:** **_Admission Procedures_** • Blood transfusion and blood product administration • Radioactive iodine therapy • Symptom management and supportive care • Post-operative monitoring and treatment initiation ** _Admission Diagnosis_** • General medical patients • Hematology • Pathology • Palliative care / End-of-life • Sickle cell anemia • Gynecology • Rheumatology • Urology • Chronic disease • Oncology overflow patient **4\.
