Risk Manager Capital One’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Team has responsibility for helping the overall organization identify, manage, and mitigate key risks that may keep the company from achieving its strategic objectives. The Corporate Policy Office (CPO) is a dedicated group of professionals within ERM, focused on executing second line-of-defense oversight responsibilities by improving governance and quality of policy documents for Capital One. The team is seeking a Risk Manager who will contribute to the establishment and execution of a sustainable policy program, including the strategies and processes, to govern and improve the quality of policy documents across the Enterprise. The Risk Manager will partner with stakeholders at all levels to develop, implement, and drive adherence to the enterprise policy program. The Risk Manager will build and maintain effective relationships with business partners. Success in this position will rely heavily on working well with associates and leaders across the Enterprise. This role requires core strengths in Customer Focus, Influence, Problem Solving, and Communication. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with executives and enterprise-wide stakeholders, a demonstrated ability to manage processes through a risk lens, and an ability to assess and make improvements to the effectiveness of these processes. Additionally, the Risk Manager should have a comfort in developing and presenting materials in CPO-led forums. The ideal candidate also has prior experience working with policy, with an ability to read, analyze, and rationalize existing policy documents and consult with stakeholders on the creation of new policy documents. An attention to detail and commitment to collaboration and teamwork is required, while also having a strong ability to influence in driving results.
