Your job is more than a job ***This is a PRN only opportunity for students*** GENERAL SUMMARY The Student is exposed to a broad-based learning experience to modern healthcare delivery practice. Gains familiarity with the operations of LCMC through exposure within participating departments of the hospital. Participates in an out-of-the classroom experience to become subject matter experts in the respective project work by gathering data, learning job skills and sharing findings and experiences. SUMMARY SPECIFIC TO REVENUE CYCLE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM The High School Intern, Revenue Cycle will provide administrative support to the Revenue Cycle team, assisting with a variety of operational and clerical tasks. This role offers exposure to healthcare revenue cycle functions, including payer communications, documentation processes, and system workflows. The intern will support the preparation and distribution of denial letters generated by the ERP system to insurance agencies, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentation. Additional responsibilities may include data entry, file organization, and general administrative support to enhance departmental efficiency and workflow. **_EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS_** * 6 months Summer Student’s parent or legal guardian must be employed as a Full-Time Children’s Hospital employee who has completed at least six months of employment. * Summer Student must be between the ages of 16-21. * Child must be available to work through the summer. **_EDUCATION DIRECTLY RELATED TO REVENUE CYCLE ONLY_** * Experience with basic computer tasks through schoolwork (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, email use, or data entry assignments) * Demonstrated responsibility through school activities, group projects, or extracurricular involvement ** _EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS_** High School Diploma preferred **WORK SHIFT:** Days (United States of America) **LCMC Health is a community.** Our people make health happen.
