What You'll Do.
Assist licensed pharmacist in technical duties
and label medications
Prepare hazardous drugs and controlled substances
Assist with medication distribution tasks
Screen phone calls and route
Assist in daily pharmacy procurement
Assist in inventory control
Assist in outdate checking
Complete documentation for controlled substances
Perform nonsterile compounding
Perform sterile IV admixture
Inspect medication storage areas
Complete and document medication admission histories
Seek additional duties
Accept other duties as assigned
Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Assist in training pharmacy technicians
Abide by all organization policies
and accreditation standards
Obtain and record initial patient demographic information
Enter data into pharmacy system
Develop competence in third-party billing
Demonstrate knowledge and skills for patient care
Perform immunizations
Operate motor vehicle to deliver medications
Deliver essential medical supplies
