What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program, Registration with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists, Registered with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario, Ability to work in a Hyperbaric environment required
Nice to Have
Previous experience as a Respiratory Therapist in Adult Critical Care preferred, Certified Hyperbaric Medical Technologist (CHT) preferred, Hyperbaric Medicine experience preferred
What You'll Do.
provide respiratory therapy service 24/7 to patients in the Intensive Care Units
Post Anesthetic Care Rooms
Wards and in other specialty areas such as the Hyperbaric Medicine Unit
assisting with airway
responding to all cardiac and respiratory arrest
attending intra and inter-hospital transports of critically ill
administer specialty aerosolized and MDI
acting as a resource for the nurses
residents and allied health personnel in Respiratory/Airway related
participating in teaching patients the use of Respiratory Therapy equipment for both hospital and home care
performing diagnostic tests such as bedside spirometry
administering oxygen and other medical gas
assist with bronchoscopies
managing all ventilated patients according to departmental ventilation

acting as a resource for the nurses, residents and allied health personnel in Respiratory/Airway related; being an integral member of the healthcare team
