What You'll Do.

Oversee Front Desk operations

Act as manager on duty

Direct staff performing duties

Welcome and register hotel guests

Explain accommodations and establish credit

Check guests out of the hotel

Prepare and explain bills

Respond to guest requests

Assess guest needs and requests

Add personal recommendations and touches

Achieve maximum customer satisfaction

Comply with Four Seasons policies

Manage staff at the Front Desk

train and schedule staff

Conduct Performance Evaluations

Discipline staff when needed

Block rooms for arrivals

Resolve discrepancies

Review daily arrivals

Ensure proper handling of guests

Assure financial and credit procedures are followed

Follow up on credit problems

Reconcile transactions

Respond swiftly in emergencies

Resolve customer complaints

Handle guest interactions with hospitality

Accommodate special requests

Assist customers in inquiries

Respond to guest requests accurately

Check guests in and out efficiently

Use guest name whenever possible

Assign requested room type

Arrange luggage delivery

Ascertain guest satisfaction

Present bill to guest

Settle bill accurately

Utilize computer systems

Select and block rooms

Check Housekeeping and Laundry supplies

Liaise with Executive Housekeeper

Liaise with Director of Engineering

Liaise with Director of Laundries

Note damaged equipment

Note faulty air condition

Note needed drapery repair

Note areas needing paint

Check public guest washrooms

Check staff washrooms

Ensure washrooms are cleaned

Ensure washrooms are supplied

Check floors for dirty trays

Check floors for dirty glasses

Ensure elevator area is vacuumed

Comply with Work Rules and Standards

Work harmoniously with co-workers

Work professionally with supervisors

Direct guest calls appropriately

How You'll Work.

Team & Collaboration

Coordinate arrivals, departures and billing requirements with Sales and Catering Department; Liaise with Executive Housekeeper, Director of Engineering, Director of Laundries, on any outstanding problems; Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
