Focuses on helping residents attain or resume their capacity for independent living, providing hope and motivation, as residents heal and develop resiliency. **Responsibilities:** * Provides counseling to help residents re-establish self-identity, sense of purpose and meaning in their lives, which may include developing plans for work, school, and/or volunteering, and making community connections. * Helps residents develop life skills, such as cooking, cleaning, money management, social skills and knowledge of symptoms and medications. * Creates treatment plans and discharge planning documents and delivers/reviews with residents * Conducts individual and group counseling sessions **Requirements:** * AA degree in social services or related field preferred * One (1) year of experience working with mentally ill consumers in a residential setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience * **BLS - Basic Life Suppor** t (includes RQI), **Food Handler’s,** &**First Aid** cards will be required within 14-days of hire * Washington State **Counselor Agency Affiliated Registered (ACCR)** credential must be applied for within thirty (30) days of hire. Employees can work while in pending status.
