What They're Looking For.
Must Have
3-8 years of verifiable progressive experience as Maintenance Repairman, Maintenance Electrician, Machine Repairman, or Industrial Maintenance Engineering, Minimum of 3 years of verifiable mechanical/electrical experience, Ability to interpret and work with electrical circuit diagrams, Theoretical and operational experience in the repair, troubleshooting of PLC-based machinery, Demonstrated mechanical aptitude including the ability to read assembly drawings, Able to operate hand tools and be able to disassemble and assemble parts onto equipment, Able to follow set up instructions, assembly drawings and check lists, Computer literate with moderate proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, Willing to learn and adapt to changing role requirements, Demonstrate flexibility and the best use of skills and capabilities throughout daily activities
Nice to Have
Associates of Electrical | Electrical Engineering | Electrical Technology or similar area of study, Extensive experience in equipment maintenance, modifications and design, Experience with network equipment interfaces
What You'll Do.
Provide industrial Electrical/Mechanical expertise
Maximize equipment utilization and efficiency
Assist in development and implementation of processes
Maintain proper utilization and functionality
Apply technical knowledge of electrical
and automated equipment
Work with varying voltage levels
Operate and maintain variable frequency drives (VFDs)
Operate and maintain industrial automated systems
Service and support KNAPP supplied automation
Service and support automated fulfillment equipment
Rectify electro-mechanical faults
Identify and report PLC related issues
Maintain conveyor and precision automation equipment
Support operation and maintenance of automated storage and retrieval systems
Support operation and maintenance of storage and picking systems
record and triage problems or emergency calls
Perform emergency breakdown and specialized maintenance service work
Respond to operations inquiries and requests
Set up and calibrate precision automation equipment
Create effective working relationships within DigiKey
Meet performance expectations
Provide training pertaining to the overall system
Ensure clear and precise quality communications
Ensure reports and documentation are well written
and statutory requirements
Carry out risk assessments
Log all spare parts usage issues
Ensure proper care and maintenance of tools and equipment
Lead mechanical strip-down/re-assembly
Lead basic field wiring
Lead machine calibration
Lead cleaning processes
Lead system testing processes
Interact with on-site management
Perform other incidental and related duties
