Full Job Description
**Temasek Laboratories @NTU ** TL@NTU explores the frontiers in science and develops strategic technologies to enhance the defence and security of Singapore. TL@NTU forms part of the defence technology community in Singapore alongside DSO National Laboratories, Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA), Temasek Laboratories @ NUS and @SUTD and the local defence industry. The Centre for Quantum Sensing Technology (CQST) advances the science and engineering of next‑generation quantum sensors, with core programmes in cold‑atom sensing, quantum photonics, quantum materials, and superconducting sensor technologies. **Key Responsibilities:** The successful candidate will be involved in computational/simulation work related to quantum sensing materials development and characterization; and contribute modelling work towards optimisation tasks for device fabrication and instrumentation work as needed. The job scope includes * To develop materials related simulations in consultation with PI (supported by rigorous scientific, engineering and literature backed design) to inform experimental process design * To ensure conduct and proper documentations of designs/methods of simulation, and cross-validation against experiments, project meetings, discussions with collaborators * To assist PI in ensuring the alignment of the computation/simulation support for project objectives, provide relevant trainings to staff, students and collaborators as relevant * To support PI in events, publications, proposals, planning, monitoring, reporting and technical operation needs related to mission of the lab as relevant **Job Requirements:** * Minimally PhD in physics, engineering, quantum chemistry, materials engineering or equivalent * Relevant prior experience would in in computational work based on density functional theory and quantum related work * Demonstrated collaborations with experimentalists would be advantageous We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
