Must Have
PhD in immunology, microbiology or a closely related field, Demonstrated analytical and manuscript preparation including a track record of refereed research publications, project management abilities, excellent oral and written communication skills, Experience in human immunology or in cellular immune responses to infectious disease, Proficiency in multiparameter flow cytometry and panel design
Nice to Have
Advanced skills in statistics and data analysis of large data sets, including coding (R, Python) and bioinformatics, Research expertise with CD4+ T cells, cells and germinal centre biology
What You'll Do.
undertake research on the adaptive immune response to pathogens including Streptococcus pyogenes to inform the development of new vaccines and therapeutics
develop detailed expertise in methodologies specific to isolation and interrogation of antigen-specific T and cells
using both human tissue and animal models
conduct this research project under limited supervision according to agreed work plans
either independently or as a member of a team
lead the production of publications from that research
project management tasks
administrative tasks to support laboratory operations
oversee project timelines
and governance requirements
management of confidentiality and intellectual property
oversee stakeholder engagement with academic and industry partners through regular
high-quality written reports and oral presentations
co-supervise and/or mentor postgraduate students and other junior team members
support other research projects in the laboratory
