Must Have
PhD in Protein Biochemistry, Structural Biology or equivalent, Demonstrated analytical and manuscript preparation including a track record of refereed research publications, project management abilities with excellent oral and written communication skills, Experience in the design and optimisation of constructs for expression of recombinant proteins in E. coli, insect cells (Sf21), or mammalian cells (HEK 293F), Experience in biophysical techniques to characterize protein-protein interactions such as BLI (Octet), SPR, ITC or mass photometry, Demonstrated experience in determining protein structures through X-ray crystallography and/or Cryo-EM
Nice to Have
Experience in computational protein design, Prior experience with antibody epitope determination
What You'll Do.
characterising antibody recognition of bacterial toxins or vaccine antigens using a range of biophysical techniques
project management tasks
administrative tasks to support laboratory operations
oversee project timelines
and governance requirements
management of confidentiality and intellectual property
oversee stakeholder engagement with academic and industry partners
co-supervise and/or mentor postgraduate students and other junior team members
support other research projects in the laboratory
