Key responsibilities include characterising antibody recognition of bacterial toxins or vaccine antigens using a range of biophysical techniques. This position will join a multi-disciplinary team, with regular consultation and support from the Laboratory Head (Dr Danika Hill) and team members. Research will be conducted under limited supervision according to agreed work plans, either independently or as a member of a team, and lead the production of publications from that research. This position will involve laboratory research, data analysis, project management tasks, and other administrative tasks to support laboratory operations. The Research Officer will oversee project timelines, reporting, ethics, and governance requirements, management of confidentiality and intellectual property. They will oversee stakeholder engagement with academic and industry partners through regular, high-quality written reports and oral presentations. The successful candidate will be expected to co-supervise and/or mentor postgraduate students and other junior team members, and support other research projects in the laboratory. Methods and approaches that may be used include standard and specialised biophysical techniques to characterise protein-protein interactions (including X-ray crystallography and Cryo-EM), protein expression and purification, protein structure determination, _in vitro_ antibody functional assays, cell culture, flow cytometry, and statistical analysis. **Selection Criteria** Essential knowledge and skills: * A PhD
