**Job Posting Title:** Research Engineering/Scientist Associate III **\----** **Hiring Department:** Molecular Biosciences **\----** **Position Open To:** All Applicants **\----** **Weekly Scheduled Hours:** 40 **\----** **FLSA Status:** Exempt from FLSA **\----** **Earliest Start Date:** Immediately **\----** **Position Duration:** Expected to Continue Until May 27, 2027 **\----** **Location:** AUSTIN, TX **\----** **Job Details:** ## Purpose Carry out research into biochemistry, synthetic biology, and protein and RNA engineering. ## Responsibilities * Administration and project management of funded research programs. Schedule meetings, organize data, and prepare reports or other communications for the PI. * Collaborate with postdoctoral fellows and graduate students on various projects. Train graduate students in NGS experimental protocols and analysis. * Conduct general laboratory duties, including the ordering of supplies, tracking inventory, and overseeing the maintenance of basic laboratory equipment. * Spearhead, perform, and troubleshoot human antibody research tasks, including the preparation, processing and bioinformatic analysis of B-cell DNA libraries using NGS. ## Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related discipline with 4 years of relevant experience.
