We're looking for a talented Video Codec Engineer to join our team in developing and optimizing video compression technologies for Prime Video's streaming infrastructure. Key job responsibilities As a Codec Engineer at Prime Video, you'll work on encoder/decoder solutions that impact billions of streaming hours annually. You'll collaborate with team members to optimize codec performance and implement effective video delivery solutions across various platforms. A day in the life • Implement and optimize video compression algorithms • Assist in benchmarking codec performance across different platforms • Collaborate with team members on video quality assessment metrics and encoding algorithms • Contribute to the integration of video processing workloads into the streaming infrastructure • Help implement production-ready solutions • Participate in technical design discussions and code reviews • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code About the Team: Our mission is to build and operate innovative video streaming technology that provides the best customer-centric streaming experience for VOD and Live globally.
