What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Bioinformatics, or related STEM fields, 2–4 years of experience in data engineering or a related role, proficiency in Python or similar language for data processing, Solid SQL skills for querying, transformation, and optimization, Experience building and maintaining batch ETL/ELT pipelines, Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
Nice to Have
Experience with clinical, healthcare, or research datasets, Familiarity with Databricks, Spark, or workflow orchestration tools, analytics and data visualization skills, Experience with using statistical and/or machine learning algorithms for data analysis, Databricks Certified, dbt Certified

Design data models and datasets

Optimize and monitor batch workflows
Troubleshoot and resolve issues
Implement data validation
Identify and resolve data inconsistencies
Ensure compliance with healthcare data regulations
well-structured datasets
Develop SQL queries and data transformations
Assist with exploratory data analysis
Document data pipelines
