Full Job Description

Established in 2010, the Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) is a pan-university research institute that focuses on systems-level research for tropical megacities. It performs translational research that covers the energy value chain from generation to innovative end-use solutions, motivated by industrialisation and deployment. ERI@N has multiple Interdisciplinary Research Programmes which focus on translational Research, Development & Deployment which focus on specific area of the energy value chain, and a number of Living labs and Testbeds which facilitate large scale technology deployment enabling validation and demonstration of real-world applications. For more details, please view We are looking for a Research Associate (RA) to work on carbon enhanced concrete materials. The role will focus on research and development of new materials related to the project. **Key Responsibilities:** * The RA will be responsible for new carbon materials enhanced concrete development (e.g. via incorporation of various carbon materials where they are securely stored but also enhance concrete property in different ways); * The RA will also be in charge of testing of all relevant aspects of advanced concrete material developed; * The RA will also be conducting cost-benefit and LCA analysis of the material developed. * The RA will conduct research on carbon material enhanced concretes with various forms of carbon. The developed materials must be demonstrated in suitable large-scale applications. **Job requirements:** * The candidate must graduate with Master Degree from a reputable university in material science, civil, chemical engineering or related fields, with relevant research experience/expertise and strong journal publication record.
