Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, public health, psychology or other related fields, Knowledge of basic research principles, clinical trials, and human subjects research (e.g., IRB guidelines), Working knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality practices

Prior experience in clinical, academic, or public health research, especially in maternal-child health or behavioral health, Familiarity with Excell, REDCap, Epic, or other clinical and research data platforms, Familiarity with maternal health, substance use disorders, and perinatal care, Understanding of social determinants of health and trauma-informed care is a plus, Competency in conducting literature searches and summarizing findings
What You'll Do.
Support various research and QI initiatives through approved techniques
Assist with maternal and newborn data collection across clinical settings
Conduct participant recruitment
and enrollment for approved studies
Administer patient-reported outcome measures
and structured interviews
Abstract data from electronic medical records for analysis and reporting
Perform literature reviews and contribute to manuscript
and poster preparation for conferences and peer-reviewed publication
Assist the PI and research team in interpreting data and compiling progress reports
Maintain accurate and secure patient databases
Support data entry for state-funded grant systems
Coordinate patient appointments
and logistical supports
Provide administrative assistance for research-related meetings and scheduling
Prepare materials such as study flyers

Help foster a trauma-informed
patient-centered experience during research encounters
Collaborate with clinical teams to align data collection and patient engagement efforts
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to hospital standards of performance and compliance

Clinical services are delivered to patients by a multidisciplinary team of providers from medicine, behavioral health, nursing, peer coaching, and more. Project RESPECT is seeking a research Assistant (RA) to support various research and quality improvement projects, as well as to support reducing barriers to care for the patient population through direct care initiatives. **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:** Under direct supervision of Project RESPECT Program Manager and Principal Investigator (PI), the research assistant will support various research and QI initiatives through approved techniques. This may include but is not limited to: **Research Support:** * Assist with maternal and newborn data collection across clinical settings. * Conduct participant recruitment, informed consent, and enrollment for approved studies.
