* **Full-time, fixed term until 31st December 2027** * **Exciting opportunity to support a growing research program within the Cardiovascular Discovery Group at the Kolling Institute, Northern Clinical School** * **Be a member of a multi-disciplinary team working on a broad research program aimed at improving the detection, management, and novel prevention strategies for better outcomes in cardiovascular disease** * **Base Salary HEO5 ($93,345 - $104,515) + 17% superannuation ** **About the opportunity** The Kolling Institute is a joint venture between The University of Sydney and the Northern Sydney Health District. Based in the Royal North Shore Hospital, the institute focuses on three key research priority areas, these include [Musculoskeletal](https://kollinginstitute.org.au/musculoskeletal-research), [Neuroscience and Pain](https://kollinginstitute.org.au/neuroscience-and-pain-research), and [Cardiovascular and Renal](https://kollinginstitute.org.au/cardiovascular-and-renal-research) research. The **Research Assistant** will join the Cardiology Research Group and provide technical and operational support to the research program. You will have the opportunity to work on numerous projects that relate to the discovery of new biomarkers and therapeutic targets-which span cell culture models, preclinical models, immunophenotyping, and human clinical studies. **Your key responsibilities are:** * prepare relevant materials in collaboration with team members, performing fundamental aspects of research work, and facilitating the efficient operation of the research laboratory by providing essential technical and operational support * coordinate the activities associated with research projects, and work towards ensuring that experiments are prepared for and run smoothly * responsibility for any lab work carried out by students, provide teaching support (in terms of demonstrations in tutorials/practicals) and prepare equipment for experiments that are carried out * facilit
