Must Have
Demonstrated experience with molecular biology techniques
Nice to Have
Undergraduate degree in molecular, cellular, developmental, regenerative, or organismal biology, Experience with aquatic species, particularly amphibians, Experience with mice, Ability to lift, move, and transport related laboratory equipment, Ability to work with a variety of hazardous materials
What You'll Do.
Performs daily operations and provides organizational management of the axolotl research colony
Implements approved animal husbandry protocols
Oversees employees tasked with routine animal care
Optimizes husbandry schedules and protocols
Ensures compliance in the facility
Performs husbandry tasks in the aquatics facility on a daily basis
Works with mice within the separate
university-managed mouse facility
Makes recommendations to PI about resource and operational issues
Performs routine lab ordering support
Serves as the lab’s safety officer
Collaborates with researchers to collect
