Login to your McGill Workday account and apply to this posting using the Find Jobs report (type Find Jobs in the search bar).** **Hiring Unit:** _Department of Physics_ **Position Summary:** * Conduct experiments in the cryostat following established procedures * Analyze the data and interpret results * Help with dissemination of experimental results. * Help with lab duties for the light-only liquid xenon (LoLX) experiment **Qualifications:** * Problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to adapt to an evolving work environment * Demonstrated ability to learn new tools and applications quickly and independently * Time management skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines * Organizational, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. * A B Sc. in physics or a closely related field at the time of appointment **Experience and education:** * Candidates must have a B Sc. in physics or a closely related field at the time of appointment. * Two years of relevant experience which could include student experience * Preference is given to candidates with a background in experimental nuclear or particle physics ** _Before applying, please note that to work at McGill University, you must be both authorized to work in Canada and willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based / located._** **_McGill University is an English-language university where most teaching and research activities are conducted in the English language, thereby requiring English communication both verbally and in writing._** **Hourly Salary:** $29.87 **H
