Must Have

University degree or equivalent in economics, finance, statistics, computer science, or related field, Working knowledge of macroeconomic relationships, Working knowledge of statistical concepts, Working knowledge of econometric techniques, Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Excel (including Macros/VBA), Advanced skills in SharePoint, Advanced skills in PowerBI, Familiarity with Fund’s data management platforms (DMXe, EcOS, iData), Experience with gathering and processing cross-country economic and financial data, Attention to detail, Sound judgment, Ability to manage multiple tasks, Ability to establish priorities, Ability to meet tight deadlines, Ability to remain flexible under pressure, Interpersonal skills, Communication skills, Ability to interact effectively with staff at all levels

Nice to Have

Familiarity with economies of the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan, Familiarity with economies of the Caucasus and Central Asia, Sound understanding of Fund and other databases, Sound understanding of computer systems capabilities, Familiarity working on nonstandard data sets, Familiarity with nowcasting, Familiarity with financial data tools and platforms (Bloomberg, DataStream), Experience supporting production of charts, tables, presentations, or publications in a policy, research, or international organization setting, Teamwork, Excellent communication skills

What You'll Do.

Construct and manage economic databases

Maintain sophisticated macro databases

Design and execute computer programs

Analyze statistical and econometric programs

Access macroeconomic and financial data

Utilize macroeconomic and financial data

Program complex data calculations

Prepare tables and charts

Prepare presentation materials

Establish and maintain documented data

Assist with onboarding junior analysts

Mentor junior analysts

Train junior analysts

Liaise with other analysts/officers

Provide advice on data management

Provide advice on software

Provide advice on programming

Back up other research analysts

Participate in analytical work

How You'll Work.

Team & Collaboration

Liaise with other Research Analysts/Officers within the department; Interact effectively with staff at all levels and in different areas of the Fund
