## **Job Description:** Reporter, Dow Jones Newswires EMEA (London or Barcelona) Dow Jones seeks a reporter to join its EMEA team providing real-time news and analysis for financial professionals. The successful candidate will be proficient at identifying important, forward-looking detail from a fast-moving stream of information and turning it into informative, punchy headlines and short articles in English. A major part of the role is also to quickly analyze news and the signals it provides to investors. Reporters are expected to break news and to seek out interviews with newsmakers across their beat. For the current opening, the focus would be U.K. and European banks and financial firms, with the post located in either our Barcelona or London news hub. Accuracy, speed, excellent news judgment and a close eye for detail are essential. Successful candidates must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume news environment where teamwork and communication skills will be hugely important. Reporters need to have the flexibility to jump quickly between subjects and tasks while keeping a calm, clear head. Excellent written English is essential. A strong grasp of at least one other European language aside from Spanish is highly desirable.
