What They're Looking For.
Must Have
3+ years HCC Risk Adjustment Coding, CPC or CRC certification from AAPC, EMR experience, Must maintain credential throughout employment, working knowledge & experience with Federal & State Coding regulations and Guidelines
Nice to Have
Ability to work independently, multi-task well, interface with all levels of personnel, interface with clients, Basic knowledge of Excel, Basic knowledge of Word, Basic knowledge of PowerPoint, High level of accuracy, Previsit & Retrospective Risk Adjustment planning methodology experience, Experience with CMS HCCESRD PACE, Experience with CMS HCC-RX, Experience with CDPS, Experience with CDPS-RX, Experience with HHS HCC, CMA or LPN certification
What You'll Do.
Perform quality coding of medical records
Code conditions and procedures
Assure services documented are coded
Attain proper documentation
Achieve and maintain 95% accuracy
Maintain average productivity standards
Work the review queue daily
Correct charts for re-bills
Report coder downtime
Provide accurate answers to coding questions
Code or pending every chart
Notify administrative staff
Check Guidehouse email system
Maintain professional credentials
Become familiar with Guidehouse coding website
Maintain HIPAA compliant workstations
Review and adhere to policy
Insure maximum efficiency and reimbursement
