Eligibility Requirements

Fly-in/Fly-out (FIFO) camp-based, FIFO from a Suncor hub location: Calgary/Edmonton, Alberta or Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, 4x3 shift schedule (Monday-Thursday); 10 hr shifts with potential for extended work hours based on business needs, safety sensitive

What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Minimum 8 years of experience with heavy industrial and/or production equipment, at least 2 years in a formal or informal technical leadership role, Bachelor’s degree, Professional Engineer or eligible for membership with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA), Demonstrated multi‑disciplinary engineering expertise to support production unit reliability, lead Management of Change (MOC) activities in a structured, disciplined manner, Proficient in CMMS (SAP) for entering, extracting, and analyzing maintenance and reliability data, knowledge of Canadian/Alberta Occupational Health & Safety standards, A valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record

What You'll Do.

Serve as the primary reliability engineering contact for the PU

partnering with operations

Support/lead equipment selection

develop maintenance and reliability strategies using CMMS (SAP)

and AMS data to drive failure analysis and root‑cause elimination

Steward Management of Change (MOC) initiatives

support planning and scheduling activities

build business cases for equipment improvements

Develop and support engineering scope for turnarounds and major outages

acting as the reliability lead to achieve outage milestones and optimize plant performance
