What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university required, preferably in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
Nice to Have
Existing knowledge of the power industry, including construction, maintenance, and operation of generation systems, high voltage transmission lines and substations, metering, relays, and communication systems preferred., Five years' experience in the electric utility / power industry strongly preferred., Experience with IBM Maximo and Oracle Primavera Portfolio Management (OPPM) preferred.
What You'll Do.
Monitor and evaluate the performance and condition of power system assets (>100kV) to comply with asset management strategy and ensure necessary investments are made to maintain long-term reliability.
Shape Transmission Asset Management Strategy and develop Asset Management documentation.
Analyze and report on the performance and condition of power system assets (>100kV) using relevant data
but not limited to inspection
Maintain system-wide database of the current and anticipated future conditions of individual transmission assets utilizing Ameren's Asset Management Software.
Monitor and analyze outage data to determine root causes of significant events and performance trends.
Develop asset service life projections and component risk profiles using diverse data sources and industry research.
Develop and maintain appropriate analytical tools (e.g. models and databases according to established quality procedures) to support decision making.
Develop long-term optimized plan for asset replacements and repairs based on appropriate economic and risk considerations.
Evaluate and quantify the benefits of proposed capital investments in alignment with Ameren's strategic goals.
Enter identified projects for inclusion in budget and act as Transmission Asset Management's sponsor in all scoping meetings.
Update and maintain Ameren Transmission's Asset Management Strategy based on historical system performance and industry trends.

Manage Statcom warranties and coordinate maintenance of Statcoms with external suppliers and internal maintenance teams.
