The Release Train Engineer (RTE) serves as a central figure in organisations using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or similar large-scale agile approaches. In addition to orchestrating and facilitating the Agile Release Train (ART), the RTE is responsible for line management of Scrum Masters and Agile Practitioners, ensuring that coaching, career development, and performance management are provided consistently across teams.
