Must Have
Graduation from accredited college or university, Major coursework in human services, social science, business, or related field, One year full-time qualifying experience, Experience as Rehabilitation Assistant
Nice to Have
Eighteen months experience in office practices, Office support work utilizing personal computer, Experience applying purchasing case guidelines, Experience in case management support functions, Knowledge of community and government service delivery, Knowledge of mental illness, Knowledge of emotional components of physical illness, Ability to interpret highly complex policies/procedures, Ability to analyze/interpret highly complex financial data, Skill in interviewing, Skill in conducting individual needs assessments, Related work experience
What You'll Do.
Assist assigned VR Counselors
Provide basic information regarding VR programs
Provide referral information to customers
Perform entry level human services/rehabilitation support
Provide routine caseload support service
Create/maintain/review technical case management forms/files
Collect information for intake/profile process
Maintain business relationships with providers/businesses/customers/staff
Prepare/review reports on monitored services
Provide casework services/assistance to VR Counselors
Utilize electronic case management system
Utilize agency supported software
Perform initial screening for individuals
Participate in Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS) training
Furnish information regarding Texas Workforce Solutions (TWS)/VRS Program
Furnish information regarding services and requirements
Perform other related work as assigned
