What They're Looking For.
Must Have
One year of full-time qualifying experience in human services, social science, business, or a related field, One additional year of full-time qualifying experience may be substituted for each year (30 semester hours) of the required education, Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework plus two years and six months of full-time qualifying experience in human services, social science, business or a related field, One year of full-time experience may be substituted for each year (30 semester hours) of education, Experience as a Rehabilitation Assistant cited above must be in accordance with the career ladder requirements of the agency
Nice to Have
Eighteen (18) months experience in office practices and office support work utilizing a personal computer in a Windows' based environment, Experience in applying purchasing Case guidelines, regulations and Case management support functions, Knowledge of community and government service delivery, Knowledge of mental illness and emotional components of physical illness, Ability to interpret highly complex policies/procedures, Ability to maintain, Ability to analyze/interpret highly complex financial data, Skill in interviewing and in conducting individual needs assessments, Related work experience at all levels is defined as case management support, purchasing and general knowledge of disabilities
What You'll Do.
Assist assigned VR Counselors in providing services to
Achieve successful employment outcomes
Provide basic information regarding VR programs
Perform entry level human services/rehabilitation support
Perform routine caseload support service
Create/maintain/review technical case management forms/files for accuracy
Utilize the electronic case management system
Collect information for intake/profile process
Maintain appropriate business relationships with providers/businesses/customers/staff
Prepare/review reports for accuracy on monitored services
Provide casework services/assistance to VR Counselors in certification
Utilize the electronic case management system and other
Perform initial screening for individuals applying for VRS
Participate in Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS) training
Furnish information regarding Texas Workforce Solutions (TWS)/VRS Program
Perform other related work as assigned
