What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Law, Minimum of 3 - 5 years of work experience within the electronic communications market, preferably on regulatory topics in-house or in a law office practice, Working knowledge and understanding of voice over IP technologies and cloud communications, Fluent in legal and business English
Nice to Have
another European language is a plus, Knowledge of and experience in voice, messaging, and numbering regulatory frameworks and issues is a plus
What You'll Do.
Ensuring legal and regulatory compliance in the countries of the coverage under your responsibility and the topics assigned to you
Provide daily legal and regulatory advice with regard to Bandwidth products and operational processes
Advising different business units
Actively following up on any legal and regulatory changes that may impact the business
Propose actions to be taken in order to ensure compliance of Bandwidth products with the applicable laws in countries of coverage
Negotiate different types of service agreements with suppliers
Follow up on key regulatory topics globally
Provide support with regard to any legal or regulatory research
or project to the business units
Maintain all processes and regulatory information up to date
Be responsible and accountable for the maintenance of the regulatory conditions of the countries and topics assigned
Analyse regulatory frameworks
monitor and advise on changes in the law that affect Bandwidth’s products and operational processes
Advise on regulatory conditions
compliance strategies
Research and draft regulatory documentation in a clear
Answer to internal and external questions related to the countries and topics assigned
Liaise with appropriate external parties
including regulatory agencies
Review and negotiate supplier agreements supporting services in the countries of assigned coverage
Review public consultations relevant to Bandwidth services
draft position papers
and liaise with the Global Policy team on strategies
Source of truth and support to the Regulatory Operations
Compliance Operations
and other operational teams within Bandwidth
and adequate support to business units on projects with regulatory impact
and go-to-market initiatives across the globe
Create and maintain up-to-date regulatory documentation on a wide variety of electronic communications topics
Ensure upkeep of regulatory archives in the countries of assigned coverage
Ensure timely and accurate regulatory filings in the countries of assigned coverage
Manage external counsel
including ensuring the right level of expertise and support is available when needed
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Collaborate with internal parties, including Product, Carrier Relations, Engineering, Operations, etc. on cross-coverage and cross-functional regulatory topics; Liaise with the Global Policy team on strategies, submissions, etc.; Source of truth and support to the Regulatory Operations, Compliance Operations, and other operational teams within Bandwidth; Provide timely, comprehensive, and adequate support to business units on projects with regulatory impact, and go-to-market initiatives across the globe; Collaborate and liaise with internal and external parties in different regions
Communication Scope
Fluent in legal and business English; writes and communicates clearly, accurately, and succinctly with different stakeholders in a variety of communication settings and styles
Process & Methodology
Able to work in an organised, timely, and structured manner on a variety of topics simultaneously
