Must Have
5+ years of direct Canadian natural health product regulatory experience, Bachelors or Master’s degree in regulatory affairs, science, medical sciences, pharmacology etc. ; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job, In-depth Knowledge and experience on Health Canada quality & regulatory and applicable laws and regulations including NHP GMP standards, Experience in Health Canada NHP regulatory submissions, Foods/Supplemented foods and product licensing systems, Technical writing experience in a compliance environment such as microbiology, food science, chemistry, or biochemistry, Ability to review/ complete efficacy and/or safety assessments and dossiers as required for the product classification type for NHPs, Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as internal and external clients, verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning), Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment, Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting, Excellent English written and verbal communication skills

What You'll Do.
Provide regulatory expertise and assessments for Canadian NHP business
Ensure compliance to Health Canada NHP Regulations
Oversee portfolio from product development to post license changes
Liaise between business partners and Health Canada
Perform product submission classifications for NHPs
Assess ingredients for acceptability
Maintain products through entire product life cycle
Assure technical and Canadian specific requirements are met
Review/ Substantiate marketing and scientific claims
Defend product and claims with Health Canada
interpret and validate regulatory landscape
Compile and maintain regulatory documentation
Establish release specifications
Establish testing as per Quality of NHP Guidance
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Partner closely with R&D, Quality, Legal, Marketing, Brand Management, Suppliers, Regulatory Authorities and Trade Associations; Work proactively with external partners; Support cross-functional delivery teams; Work closely with Global and Regional R&D; Work with in-house and external legal counsel; Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues; Work within a team
