What They're Looking For.

Must Have

High school graduate or equivalent with GED, computer skills including Windows file management and MS Office, and e-mail experience, Good verbal, listening, and written communication skills, Ability to work productively and effectively in a fast-paced environment, organizational skills and attention to detail, Excellent customer service skills

Nice to Have

2 years of previous professional office experience and/or customer service experience preferred

What You'll Do.

Manage the reception of patients

Obtains patient insurance and demographic information

Collects co-pays and/or payments

Schedules internal patient appointments

Answers the telephones and greets patients

Conducts patient check-in

Properly tracks patients in EHR

Verify and update patient demographics

Scan documents into Electronic Health Record

Collect patient photographs

Ensures eligible patients have proper distress screening

Collects co-payments and/or payments

Ensures canceled/no show and missed appointments are followed up

Schedules internal patient appointments

Communicates information regarding Patient Engagement Portal

Runs and works daily reports

Demonstrates excellent customer service

Communicates to other staff members using Instant Messaging System

Maintain and ensure confidentiality of patient information

Adheres to all Tennessee Oncology policies and procedures

Team & Collaboration

Communicates to other staff members using Instant Messaging System; Responds promptly to patient, physician, manager, clinic, and other department requests

Communication Scope

Good verbal, listening, and written communication skills; Excellent customer service skills
