What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Credentialed as RRT by NBRC, Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner, Basic Life Support certification, Graduate of approved school of Respiratory Therapy, Associate's degree in respiratory therapy, 2 years critical care experience, RRT credentials, Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development principles
Nice to Have
BAS or higher degree, BSRT preferred
What You'll Do.
Demonstrate knowledge of oxygen delivery modes
Conduct prescribed therapeutic procedures
Administer therapeutic procedures
Perform diagnostic procedures
Initiate mechanical ventilators
Monitor mechanical ventilators
Maintain mechanical ventilators
Initiate non-invasive ventilators
Monitor non-invasive ventilators
Maintain non-invasive ventilators
Evaluate current therapies
Make recommendations for plans of care
Make recommendations for patient education
Document therapy and results
Communicate information to healthcare team
Initiate respiratory care techniques in emergency
Conduct respiratory care techniques in emergency
Modify respiratory care techniques in emergency
Perform blood sampling analysis
Evaluate blood sampling analysis
Work independently in patient care areas
Assist co-workers with patient care
Follow departmental safety guidelines
Complete regulatory requirements
Complete annual proficiency evaluation
