Must Have
One year experience as Respiratory Care Practitioner, Current state licensure as Respiratory Therapist, Current BLS certification, Demonstrates competency in provision of care, Demonstrates application of age specific standards, Demonstrates critical thinking skills, Demonstrates understanding of treatment costs, Demonstrates general computer skills, Effective organizational and time management skills, Effective written and verbal communication skills, Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, Ability to maintain quality, safety, infection prevention standards, Ability to work independently, Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality, Ability to work closely and professionally with others

What You'll Do.
Perform respiratory care procedures
Assess patient condition
Evaluate therapy appropriateness
Request re-order when necessary
Communicate with nurse and physician
Participate in patient rounds
Participate in team conferences
Participate in shift report
Participate in continuing educational programs
Participate in mandatory in-services
Document all procedures
Document patient education
Document patients' response to therapy
Communicate patient tolerance or adverse response
Receive pertinent information
Communicate relevant information to oncoming shift
Maintain and clean equipment
Maintain clean work area
Report all malfunctions or breakage
Perform setup of equipment
Perform maintenance of equipment
Perform removal of equipment
Communicate information to patient and family
Assist during special procedures
Respond to critical situations
Provide environment conducive to safety
Assess risks for safety
Implement appropriate precautions
Comply with safety standards
Comply with Infection Prevention standards
Maintain regular attendance
Complete required trainings
Perform other duties as assigned
