Travel primarily between the Pasadena and Baldwin Pak health centers, May occasionally be asked to travel to Alhambra, Glendora, and Highland Park health centers, Work flexible hours, including evenings and Saturdays, Physically assist in transferring patients, Multi-task and adapt to change, Work less than twenty (20) hours per week, Required to work at least two (2) shifts or sixteen (16) hours per month to retain active status
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
R. N. with current California license, current BLS certification, Work in all areas of the health center, Communicate effectively with patients of all backgrounds, Work in a team, as well as independently, Work flexible hours, including evenings and Saturdays, Chart using electronic medical records, Physically assist in transferring patients, Multi-task and adapt to change, Commitment to quality healthcare, Mandated reporter
Nice to Have
One year of experience in reproductive or women’s healthcare, Excellent customer service skills, Commitment to providing the highest level of customer satisfaction, Meet established Agency quality and productivity metrics, Commitment to and support for the mission and goals of Planned Parenthood, Commitment to personal and/or organizational Diversity, Equity and Inclusion work, proficiency and/or willingness to use non-binary pronouns
What You'll Do.
Provide nursing and medical care
Travel between health centers
Review client’s medical history
Perform gestational dating ultrasound
Screen clients for contraindications
Administer conscious sedation
Monitor post-abortion clients
Counsel clients regarding medication abortion
Respond to emergency situations
Provide clients with contraception
Document all client interactions
Follow RN Standardized Procedures
Work directly on Electronic Medical Record system
Perform venipuncture and give injections
Perform moderate complexity lab tests
Check emergency equipment
Educate clients regarding discharge instructions
Be responsible for accuracy on controlled substances inventory
Participate in emergency drills
Assist with patient flow
Clean up at the end of the day
Identify and assist in resolving issues
Continuously learn and expand clinical knowledge base
Demonstrate clear knowledge and accountability of quality regulations
Be proactive in team development
Support risk and quality management
Comply with PPPSGVs Code of Conduct
