Must Have
Active RN license, Current BLS certification, Current ACLS certification, Associate's degree in nursing, EMR systems proficiency
Nice to Have
5+ years experience, Experience with GI, Experience with Endoscopies, Experience with Ophthalmologic care
What You'll Do.
Perform pre-admission nursing assessments
Review medical history
Perform physical evaluation
Verify required testing
Identify abnormal results
Communicate findings to providers
Ensure pre-op documentation is complete
Educate patients and families
Support patient safety
Support risk-management initiatives
Support quality-improvement initiatives
Collaborate with anesthesia
Collaborate with surgeons
Collaborate with perioperative staff
Maintain patient privacy
Maintain patient dignity
Provide age-appropriate care
Participate in staff education
Participate in orientation
Participate in professional development
Assist in adjusting workloads
