What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Current registration, and in good standing, with the College of Nurses of Ontario, BCLS required, Recent oncology nursing experience within the last five years required, Provincial standardized chemotherapy and biotherapy courses required, Experience in chemotherapy administration required, Foundations in Oncology Nursing Practice course required or successful completion within one year of hire, Foundations of Oncology for Emergency Nurses course required or successful completion within one year of hire
Nice to Have
Certified in Oncology Nursing Canada required or successful completion within two years of hire
What You'll Do.
Providing quality patient focused nursing care to patients in the Oncology and Palliative Care Unit
implementation and evaluation of patient care
Ensuring patient safety and physiological and psychological well-being
Practicing according to the infection control and prevention measures
Responding to emergency situations
Providing health teaching to patients and families
Providing thorough discharge instructions

As part of the inter-professional health care team; Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of an inter-professional team; Exemplary clinical practice within an inter-professional team to develop appropriate strategies for patient care
