Must Have
Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts., Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN, Certification in basic life support (BLS), 1 year experience NICU required, Physical ability to meet job responsibilities., Basic computer proficiency.
Nice to Have
BSN preferred, Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years, Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) certification required within 90 days of hire, Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification required within 90 days of hire, Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) Intermediate or Advance Certification required within 8 weeks of hire., Experience with electronic health record preferred, Fluency in another language a plus.

**POSITION: Registered Nurse** **LOCATION: NICU** **SCHEDULE: PER DIEM** Registered Nurses in NICU provide the highest quality of care to our diverse patient population. Our NICU team has a strong quality improvement focus and our nurses are always developing unique solutions for their patients. **POSITION SUMMARY:** As a NICU nurse you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional care. Using our patient-centered care model you will be uplifted by a supportive nursing organization and will be able to deliver the excellent care to your patients that they deserve. **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Deliver exceptional nursing care in the, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients * Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families * Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues * Update and manage patient records * Enter and interpret computerized data/information * Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC Brighton nursing organization * Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects **JOB REQUIREMENTS:** * Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. * Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years * Certification in basic life support (BLS) * Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) certification required within 90 days of hire * Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification required within 90 days of hire (offered during orientation) * Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) Intermediate or Advance Certification required within 8 weeks of hire. * 1 year experience NICU required * Experience with electronic health record preferred * Effective verbal and written communication skills * Physical ability to meet job responsibilities. * Basic computer proficiency. *
