What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (B.C.L.S.) and C.P.R. certification, Excellent IV skills, Working knowledge of Central Venous Catheters, Port-a-cath and PICC lines, Good verbal and written communication skills, Evidence of co-operative and facilitative relationships while working with a multidisciplinary team, and the ability to work independently, Evidence of good physical assessment, psycho-social, and patient/family teaching skills, Demonstrated knowledge and ability to utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing and evaluating patient care, Demonstrated leadership/in-charge skills, and evidence of organizational and decision-making skills, Evidence of commitment to self-directed learning, Satisfactory attendance in accordance with UHN's Attendance Management Program
Nice to Have
Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred, Completed Chemotherapy course, Malignant Hematology experience preferred, Oncology experience preferred, Oncology nurse certification preferred, Experience working with delivery of blood and blood products preferred
