Bachelor's degree in Nursing, 1 year psychiatric experience, 1 year behavioral health experience, 1 year relevant experience, Previous emergency room experience, Previous crisis psychiatric care experience, Familiarity with Court Ordered Treatment
What You'll Do.
Document pertinent information
Demonstrate knowledge of Crisis Intervention
De-escalate aggressive situations
Provide education to consumers
Complete detailed Nursing Assessments
Administer medications
Record medication brought in
Plan individual treatment
Intervene with verbal interventions
Diffuse dangerous behaviors
Describe roles and responsibilities
Initiate documentation for seclusion/restraint
Debrief individuals for seclusion/restraint
Transcribe Provider orders
Administer medications as prescribed
Have individual sign medication consent
Sign off as second noted
Complete nurse to nurse
